Microsoft takeover deadline looms for Yahoo (AFP via Yahoo News)

Yahoo faced the choice of accepting to be gobbled up by Microsoft or going to the trenches to fight off a hostile takeover as the software giant's deadline on its 44.6 billion dollar offer loomed Saturday.
